 The 1957 Bullock County Hornets were chosen Class A State Champions by the Birmingham News from District 2.
 

 
 

Bullock County saw their nineteen game winning streak end with a 14-0 loss at the hands of Abbeville but it did not prevent the team from winning a state title. During the season the defense was scored on by only four opponents.

The Tigers scored 252 points and allowed only 32 on their way to a 9-1 record. They rolled up 2,392 yards to only 689 for the opposition. Head coach R.G. Cook was assisted by John V. Steed of Troy State.
